How To Take A Screenshot On An HP Laptop Or Desktop
There are many methods for taking a screenshot on your laptop, but they differ depending on the type and operating system you are using. However, we have been able to identify many different methods that are certain to work for everyone every time.
Method 1: Windows Key + Prt Sc
Press the Windows key and the Print Screen (Prt Sc) key at the same time to print the screen. After a brief flash, your screen will flicker, indicating that a screenshot has been properly captured.
To see or see all of the screenshots captured, go to your computer’s Pictures folder.
Please keep in mind that all of your screenshots will be saved in the folder titled “Screenshots.” You may also use the keyboard shortcuts ‘Ctrl + V’ to copy and paste the screenshot and send it to others. Alternatively, right-click and choose ‘Paste’ from the menu.
Method 2: Windows + Shift + S
This technique is just a shortcut to the Snipping Tool on your computer. When you hit Windows + Shift + S at the same time, everything you capture will be copied to your clipboard automatically. Use the Ctrl + V keyboard shortcut to paste the picture, or open it in a separate window to modify and save your photo.
Method 3: Snipping Tool
The Snipping Tool is a great built-in tool that allows you to choose how much of the screen you wish to capture and save it as a picture.
- Go to the Start Menu and enter in the search box “Snipping Tool” to find the tool.
- When you open the app, you will find a range of choices available to you.
- Press the ‘New’ or ‘Ctrl + N’ keys to start a new document. Snipping Tool includes a variety of different settings from which you may select the form of the snapshot you want.
