For Xbox systems, Microsoft is developing a new night mode that will be available soon. With the help of Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring, the software giant has begun testing a new night mode that enables Xbox users to lower their displays, controller LED brightness, and even the Xbox power button.

There is a lot of customization available in the night mode, including various dimming settings and an optional blue light filter. In addition, Xbox users will be able to reduce the LED brightness on their controllers when in night mode, as well as dim or turn off the Xbox power button light while in night mode. It’s also possible to configure an Xbox such that it automatically switches to system dark mode and disables HDR when night mode is activated.

The Xbox night mode allows you to lower the brightness of the controller LEDs.

This Xbox night mode may also be set to a schedule, which can be either a manual or an automated one, which will activate it at sunset and disable it at dawn, depending on your preference. The Xbox Insiders are presently testing this, so expect to see it trickle through the different testing channels in the coming weeks before it becomes available on all Xbox systems at some point.
