Apple Cash is a feature of Apple Pay, however, it is housed inside Apple’s Messages app, and it allows users to send, receive, and request money from other people.

What is the procedure for using Apple Cash?
Apple Cash enables you to give, receive, and request money directly from the Messages app, without having to leave the app. As an additional option, you may instruct Siri to pay someone in your contacts list. The Apple Cash card will be used by default when sending money, but you may alter this to use your debit card instead, or a combination of both, if the amount being sent exceeds the balance on your Apple Cash card. If the amount being sent exceeds the balance on your Apple Cash card It is possible to cancel a payment if you transfer money to someone who does not acknowledge receipt of the payment.
Apple Cash money is immediately put onto your Apple Cash card in Wallet when you get it. You may then transfer it to your bank account, use it like you would any other card when making Apple Pay transactions, or use it to pay someone else using Apple Cash.
When you use Apple Cash for the first time, you will have seven days to decide whether or not to accept the money that has been given to you. Once you have agreed to the terms and conditions, payments are taken automatically – but you may alter this to be done manually if you want.
The next sections explain how to transfer money via Apple Cash, how to request money through Apple Cash, how to reply to an Apple Cash request, and how to cancel a payment made through Apple Cash.

How to set up Apple Cash for a child or teen
A family member under the age of 18 who belongs to your Family Sharing group may also have Apple Cash set up for them so that they can make purchases and give and receive money in messages as you would with any other member of your family. You have the ability to restrict who your kid or adolescent may send money to, get notifications when they make transactions, and even freeze their account if they do anything wrong.
The family organizer will need to set up Apple Cash for the kid or adolescent, and they will need to use the same Apple ID that they used to set up Family Sharing for Apple Cash.
They will also need a compatible iPhone, iPad, or Watch that is running the most recent versions of the iOS, iPad, or watchOS software. Also required are the following steps: signing in to iCloud on each family member’s device using their Apple ID, enabling two-factor authentication for each Apple ID, and ensuring that each device’s region is set to the United States.
If you are able to check all of those boxes, the following are the next steps:
- Open the Settings app on the iPhone belonging to the family organizer.
- Then choose [your name], followed by Family Sharing.
- Select a kid or a teen from the Apple Cash drop-down menu.
- Select Apple Cash Setup from the drop-down menu.
- To set up their account, just follow the steps shown on your screen. It is possible that you may be required to prove your identification. If you see Pending, double-check that your kid fulfills all of the criteria.

If you are a member of the Apple Cash Family, the minimum balance remains the same, but the maximum balance is limited to $2000, as does the seven-day maximum balance.
In order to load money onto your Apple Cash card, the minimum deposit amount is $10 and the maximum deposit amount is $10,000. You may also load a maximum of $10,000 during a seven-day period twice more. Apple Cash Family customers will continue to have a $10 minimum, but their maximums will be reduced to $2000.
