According to a report, a homeowner in Fairfield, California, fatally shot an intruder who kicked down the front door of his residence.
It was reported on Fox 40 that the couple who lives in the home, which is located in the vicinity of Napa, was eating breakfast when the unknown individual approached them and knocked on their door. According to the report, they did not respond, and as a result, the door was kicked in to gain entry.

The intruder, who was 27 years old, was struck by two shots fired by the homeowner, who has not been identified.
It was necessary to call 911 for assistance because of a gunshot wound in the chest sustained by the intruder. According to the report, first responders were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
